And Here We Go!!!

Drake and myself (Chris) would like to welcome everyone to our blog!!!!  A father son team documenting our travels, chasing storms across the Midwest and Dixie Alley.  This will be an adventure to say the least.  The intent is to share photos, videos and chaser logs every time we set out.  We want to show the ups and down along with everything in between.

Our focus will be two fold.  (1) To show the relationship between a father and son while traveling 100's of miles a day sometimes.  (2) Get kids interested in science and spark the curiosity in the mind.  Sometimes I have the opportunity to go to schools and put on weather classes and I'm amazed how children give their undivided attention when weather is the subject.  Everyone, has a personal story that brings a smile to my face. You won't get any weather forecasts here.  There's plenty of social media pages that put out the right and wrong information.  Be sure and use a trusted site.

Starting spring 2015 we will also start publishing 10 minute YouTube episodes using DLSR cameras in 1080p to video storm structure and GoPro video cameras mounted inside the truck to capture the father/son interaction.

There are other players involved like Kerry Martin my driver and Mike Hall who sometimes comes along with us if he has the chance.  Kerry is one of my long time best friends and incredible driver, literally a man of steel behind the wheel and a passion for the extreme.  The other is Mike Hall from To Hail And Back is the one guy that has helped us so much with our photography skills.  He's one of the best in the business and we all learn something from his experience in the field.  Drake and I want to thank both of you for being part of the team.  Without you guys we couldn't do it.

The image to the left shot by Mike Hall, To Hail And Back captures the type images that you'll see on this blog.  If you look and my son and I it's flat out just incredible what we are witnessing south of Union City, TN.  That alone was an incredible day which I will write about in the Chase Log.

Thanks for coming along for the ride.  This is going to be fun!!!!
